Taking the First Step, Together
We offer compassionate, peer-to-peer support led by volunteers who have experienced loss themselves and truly understand the journey of grief. Our community provides a safe, supportive space for widowed people and fatherless children to connect, share and find strength together.

Counselling & Peer Support
Losing a spouse may feel like losing an entire way of life. A life that was built for two must now be lived by one. For a child, the impact of losing a parent is indescribably painful. There is no right or wrong way to grieve and that grief cannot be measured or compared.
At times, we may shy away from connecting with others while grieving. Wanting to move forward but cannot seem to find the strength to do so.
Support for Parents & Children
A safe, reassuring place where children do not have to carry their sadness alone — helping them process big changes through play, creative sharing and gentle guidance.

Walking Together: Our Community & Events
At Wicare, we believe that no one should have to walk through loss alone. That’s why our community events bring widows and families together in a circle of care and support. These activities are more than opportunities to stay engaged—they help build lasting friendships and provide the comfort of a community that truly understands the journey of grief.
Through shared experiences and genuine understanding, we gently encourage and uplift one another, helping our hearts heal as we embrace new beginnings together.
Our workshops and community events are highly subsidised, making them affordable and accessible for our members.
